Colie Hoffman works as a writer and editor in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She recently completed an MA in English at NC State University, and lives with her partner in Durham.

In answer to our question of why she writes, Colie responded: “Writing, for me, is like physical exercise. At any given moment I can find a zillion reasons not to do it—but eventually my soul shows up with its protest signs, ready to raise hell. So I write, and love it, and wonder why I ever put it off.”
