Ainne “Ayn” Frances dela Cruz is a lecturer at De La Salle-College of St. Benilde and De La Salle University-Dasmarinas. She is currently studying for her MA in Comparative Literature at the University of the Philippines. She was a fellow for the 7th UST National Writers Workshop for English poetry. In answer to our question of why she writes, Ayn responded:

“I write because I want to cross the borders of the meridian, I want to go the lengths of the latitudes, because I want my words to cross time and space where my mother is, and I want to let her know, how much, I love her.”
