M.E. Silverman

After graduating from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, M.E. earned a MFA. He moved to New Orleans for five years before heading south of Atlanta. Currently, he is completing a book of poems entitled The Forgotten Songs of Mud Angels, and he is enjoying being a full-time stay-at-home dad. His poetry has appeared in Nexus, The Delta, The Review, The Flask Review, Orange Room Review, Blood Orange Review, Ceremony, and Midwest Poetry Review. He won first place in The Journal of College Writing.

In answer to our question of why he writes, M.E. responded:

“Isabel, my daughter, is the reason I keep moving forward as a writer. Otherwise, I devote a great deal of time to both reading and writing poetry and fantasy fiction.”
