Cynthia J. Hollenbeck spent her first twenty years in Binghamton, New York, but eventually settled in the West and makes her home in Moscow, Idaho, with her husband and three children. She earned her MFA in creative writing from the University of Idaho, and her work has appeared in The Ledge, Fourth Genre, and Pearl. Hollenbeck works as a writer and editor at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. She firmly believes in the power of writing as a tool to heal psychic damage, and that is what keeps her writing.
