what can we know
beading needles   bodkins
darners   milliners   sharps
always pull at the cloth
the hardest stitches come last
lay hands on this thing

praise be to me
that can’t be said in tongues
threadbare   broken
the final steps require moaning
don’t clench your hands
push through the eye
it has a back   it has hair
