John Thomas is a jazz musician, poet, and novelist currently living in Seattle. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Center: A Journal of the Literary Arts, Hunger Mountain, Indiana Review, and several other journals. He is the founding editor of AmbushArts.com, a quarterly online arts journal and community scheduled to launch in the summer of 2008.

In answer to our question of why he writes, John responded:

“It’s true; there are a million reasons not to write. If I could stop, I would. The problem is there’s so much of the human experience that film and other media can’t access, and that’s the part of life I’m interested in.”
