Brent Fisk’s work has been in Rattle, Southern Poetry Review, Southeast Review, and Prairie Schooner. He has had three poems nominated for Pushcarts in the last two years.

In answer to our question of why he writes, Brent responded:

“Where we live we rarely get snow. I miss it, though I know if we had too much I’d grow tired of it. Writing a good first draft is a little bit like waking as a child to a good snowfall; it’s the same with publication. If I didn’t write poetry, I’d miss it.”
