Adam Pellegrini lives in noble Washington, DC. He studies poetry in the MFA program at the University of Maryland, College Park. He feels that despite the many reasons he could and should quit his pursuit of the writing life, none of them are so tangible as those begging him to hold fast. Above all, he feels his next choice to writing (trying his hand in some gastronomic profession) would encourage habits of massive over-eating and attempts at juggling knives that would far exceed the detriments to health found in writing poetry—i.e., the loathing of self and boxing of one’s own ego. Then again, someday he may still find himself engaged in both enterprises, the culinary and literary, at once!
