when her brother visits he brings eggs from his mother’s hens & a very large pumpkin composted in seed to make risotto creamy enough for them all
her sister brings chocolates the wrapping so big it hardly fits the door
and under her arm her mother brings olives a mirrored jar
they float to the surface to remind her of where she is from
