Jacqueline Powers’ work has been published in canwehaveourballback, [plug].poetry, kaleidowhirl, Poesia, Chronogram, California Quarterly, and Storyglossia. Her play, Swimming Upstream, was produced in Ithaca, New York, where she lives and works in federal relations for Cornell University.

In answer to what pushes her to keep writing: She writes because she can’t stop. She loves words and the sounds they make when you put them together. Loves arranging and rearranging them. And it keeps her off the streets.
