Ann McGovern is a New Yorker, born and (ill) bred. She has written 55 children's books, including Stone Soup, in print since 1967.

“I’ve been a writer since I was eight years old. Three years ago, I decided to concentrate on poetry, taking workshops and master classes, being published in 50 literary journals. It’s a challenging, heady experience to weave reflections, insights, sensations, thoughts and feelings into the many-faceted fabric of a poem.”

Her website is www.annmcgovernpoet.com.
