Monica Mankin

Originally from Southern California, Monica Mankin presently calls New Orleans home. Prior to Hurricane Katrina she taught at Tulane University and the University of New Orleans; however, due to post-Katrina circumstances, she now teaches at a private Muslim school on New Orleans’ West Bank. As a result, she has grown increasingly interested in her Irish-Catholic heritage. She’s rather obsessed with Leonardo da Vinci’s Notebooks and America’s violence. And, she has published work with Mosaic Art & Literary Journal and Claypalm Review. She regularly writes for the Literary Magazine Review and NOLAFugees.com.
