Jason Steeves

“My youth was divided between Dallas and Boston. I recently received my MFA in Poetry from Lesley University, and currently work for the Department of Visual and Environmental Studies at Harvard. My wife (featured in the poem) and I live on the North Shore of Massachusetts with our two hyperactive dogs. I just finished putting together The Zig-Zag E-Z Reader Poetry Sampler, a Fluxus influenced “chapbook,” which will soon be available at www.jasonsteeves.com.

As for the question of why I write . . . I write because I can’t not write. I often wish I had a choice in the matter, but it’s a compulsion, apparently under the control of my autonomic nervous system.”
