Doug Ramspeck directs the Writing Center and teaches English at Ohio State University at Lima.

In answer to our question of why he writes, Doug responded:

“What brings me to the page is that I never (okay, almost never) know where a poem is going to head when I begin. Indeed, I make every effort to start with a title or an opening line that utterly perplexes me: the pleasure is in working my way back when I am lost.”
