Jared Carter’s fourth collection of poems, Cross this Bridge at a Walk, was issued by Wind Publications in Kentucky in 2006. The book was the poetry selection among four categories of “Best Books of Indiana 2007” chosen by the Indiana Center for the Book, a program of the Indiana State Library.

In answer to our question of why he writes, Jared responded:
