Gwendolyn Cash

I work, write, and play in Eastern Washington where I have lived all my life. I am married, and I have three children. I started writing because pencils and keyboards gave me a medium through which I could allow myself to pay attention to everything that happened in a given day. Now I realize that what I’m really the most interested in is simply the rippling passage of time. I am deeply in love with the world, with all its beauties, joys, pains, and paradoxes. Fully aware of the fact that this relationship is temporal, I find that writing is the only way I know how to distill order and meaning out of what is seemingly random and fleeting. I write because it is how I know how to survive.
