Eric Vithalani holds a MFA from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington; he now lives, works, plays music and writes in Wilmington, NC. His work can be seen in Lilies and Cannonballs Review and Kakalak: An Anthology of Carolina Poets.

In answer to our question of why he writes, Eric responded:

“What keeps me moving forward as a writer comes down to language: the simplicity and complexity of it all. From the rhythm to the emotion and to the intellect. To the way we misuse it and take advantage of it. At any given moment, it is our condition. Simply put, I am at a constant state of surprise with what language can do.”
