Allan Peterson is a poet and visual artist living in Ashland, Oregon, and Gulf Breeze, Florida, formerly chair of the art department and director of The Switzer Center for Visual Arts at Pensacola Junior College. His chapbook, Omnivore was recently released from Bateau Press. All the Lavish in Common, his last full length collection, won the 2005 Juniper Prize. Salmon Press, Ireland, will publish his next book in 2011. Recent print and online appearances include: Gulf Coast, Northwest Review, Blue Fifth, Oranges & Sardines, and Notre Dame Review.
