Scott R. Tucker lives and works in Seattle. He is a former litigation attorney, claims manager, writing instructor, and bartender, among other jobs. His short stories and poetry have been published widely, including Alaska Quarterly Review, Narrative Magazine, Portland Review, Prick of the Spindle, Pif, and Main Street Rag. He has a journalism degree from Northwestern University.

In answer to our question of why he writes, Scott responded:

“What keeps me going is the process of turning characters loose in a given setting to see what they'll do. I don’t tell them the story. They tell me the story.”
