Michael P. McManus lives in West Monroe, Louisiana. He is a Navy Veteran, as well as a service-connected Disabled Veteran. His first book The Buddha Knot is forthcoming from Batture Willow Press. He is the recipient of the Artist Fellowship Award from the Louisiana Division of the Arts for poetry. His awards include the Virginia Award from The Lyric and The Ocean’s Prize from Sulphur River Literary Review.

His poems have appeared in Atlanta Review, Broken Plate, Louisiana Literature, Midwest Quarterly, ONTHEBUS, Prism International, Rattle, Soundings East, and Texas Review among others. His short stories have appeared in 3:AM, Ashe, Contrary Magazine, Dublin Quarterly, Lichen, Louisiana Literature, The MacGuffin, Night Train, Pennsylvania Review, Pittsburgh Quarterly, and Steam Ticket.
